Beau Rivers is the daughter of French Canadian immigrants and a descendant of the Wolastoquiyik (People of the Beautiful [St John] River), First Nations of Canada.
Raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, the cathedral of her heart resides in Nature and her life-long, twice-daily, Transcendental Meditation practice. She discovered spiritual community in Unitarian Universalism 25 years ago, at The Allen Avenue Unitarian Universalist Church of Portland, Maine.
Ms Rivers earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from The University of Southern Maine where she established her first career in retail management and a second career in social work. A spiritual awakening in 2003 led her to answer the call to ministry in 2008.
She graduated seminary at The Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, Massachusetts, completed her Clinical Pastoral Education at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Boston, served as Ministerial Intern at The Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester, MA, Contract Minister at The Unitarian Universalist Church of Weymouth, MA and Chapel Coordinator and WorshipWeb Assistant at The Unitarian Universalist Association of Boston, MA.
