At United First Parish Church, congregational life provides the heart and soul of our church community. It is this caring and concerned community that sustains so many of our members. Our Congregational Life Committee invites you to participate by attending activities, programs and events whenever you can.
- Serve as a greeter, chalice lighter, usher, or host a coffee hour on Sunday morning.
- Volunteer to help get the RE classes ready for the season in early September.
- Donate items, baked goods or a service for our church yard sale and chocolate and silent auction.
- Participate on the Flower Committee creating floral centerpieces for designated Sunday mornings.
- Meet with our 1st Tuesday of the month Book Club, or monthly with the Writing Group
- Join the serenity of our Meditation group, Sunday at 9-10am before our service.
- Join in church potlucks and picnics by baking, donating and attending.
- Decorate the church for the holidays on the first Saturday in December.
- Sing in our church choir, or join our church band, “The Radiators”.
- Suggest movies to view and discuss for our Movie Nights.
- Join in our February Chocolate and Silent Auction by baking, donating, and/or attending.
- Serve as a volunteer and/or baker for our Stone Temple Coffee House.
- Participate in our Spring Rummage Sale by donating and volunteering.
- Prepare a meal for a church friend who is healing from surgery.
- Send cards of remembrance and congratulation to church members in need.
- Gather socially with our Buffalo Gals or Black Sheep Boys.
- Serve as an elected member of our Board of Governors.
- Work on a church committee or committee project.
- Volunteer to become a Visitors Tour Program guide.
- Work with the children in our Church School.
- Helping with the gardens
